We said our goodbyes and thank yous to KT and were very grateful for his hospitality. We headed out and grabbed breakfast at Denny’s. Stick wasn’t feeling well at all. The pollen was coming down like crazy and it was getting to us both. We ate and got on the road. We headed back down towards Norfolk, VA where we planned to stop again for a pit stop.
We got there and I was so tired but we knew that it was best if we pressed on. We both agreed that a hotel would be nice as we were exhausted so we went for it. We looked up hotel deals and found a good one thanks to my friend and family discount with Hilton from my good friend back home, Benjamin. Thanks buddy! 🙂
I drove down and it was everything I had in me. I crashed when we got there. I woke up about an hour later and asked Stick if he minded if we could take tomorrow off to allow me to rest. I still had too much to do and no time for actual rest. I needed it. He said it was no problem and respected that I needed a break. We booked another night and then I settled in for a lazy night. I needed it so bad. We grabbed dinner and then stayed in and watched Stanley Cup playoffs. The hotel was nice and our beds were comfortable. I was right where I wanted to be.
