It was a great night to camp. A little chilly but not too bad. No morning dew, which is always nice and means low humidity. The sun was up early and so were we. We all packed up our things and got ready to walk.
We had a few miles of neighborhood roads and sidewalks. Strolling through talking to people here and there. Then we came up to a bike path. This was great. 9 miles of a paved and shaded path for us to walk on.
We were all pretty tired and sore from yesterday’s hills. We were moving slower today than we normally do. We still continued to push though.
We got off of the trail and Lindsay had a blowout on one of her trailer tires. Thankfully, it happened it a police station parking lot. Surely they can help.
Wrong. They wanted nothing to do with us. We simply asked if we could leave the cart there while she went to walmart to buy a replacement tire. Cranston Police Headquarters was no help at all. That’s ok though. Not their job but a little decency would go a long way these days. Oh well. We can handle this.
We sorted it out after weighing out our options. Stick and I continued walking to get our daily miles in. Lindsay had a relative help her out and we met up at the walmart about an hour later.
Stick and I walked through downtown Providence. A really cool city. I never thought I’d be in this part of the country. It was cool but we were tired and hungry and just wanted to be done walking so we sped through it.
We all loaded our stuff up into the car and drove to a place that a friend booked for us in honor of her Erin. This place was amazing. A luxury loft on air BnB. We walked in and all of our jaws dropped. It was so appreciated especially after a tough couple of days. Rhode Island has been our hardest state so far. Crazy.
We all relaxed and did showers and laundry. I went to the store and whipped up some spaghetti and garlic bread. Cheap and easy.
